Behind

House of Miller

Hi, I’m Stacey.

I’ve spent nearly two decades in real estate—walking homes, studying what works, and quietly noticing what makes a space feel right. Over time, that instinct turned into something more: a deep love for creating homes that are not only beautiful, but meaningful, functional, and lived-in in the best way.

House of Miller Designs was born from that intersection—real estate, design, and a belief that the spaces we live in should feel like an extension of who we are.

My background is a little unconventional for a designer, and honestly, that’s the advantage. I don’t just think about how a space looks—I think about how it lives, how it photographs, how it functions day-to-day, and how it adds value over time. Whether it’s a personal home or a short-term rental, every decision is made with both beauty and purpose in mind.

My style leans layered and intentional—thoughtful color, collected pieces, and a balance of charm and polish. I love creating spaces that feel curated, not decorated… the kind of rooms that tell a story without trying too hard.

Behind the scenes, I’m also a mom to twin toddlers, which means I understand real life. Homes need to work. They need to hold both the chaos and the calm.

We split our time between Indiana and Florida, drawing inspiration from both—coastal ease and Midwestern warmth—and bringing that perspective into every project.

Whether you’re refreshing a room, reimagining a home, or designing a space with purpose, my goal is simple:
to create something that feels unmistakably yours.

My story

The Perspective

My path into design didn’t follow a straight line—and I think that’s what shaped it the most.

I started in real estate in Indiana, eventually expanding into the Florida market, walking through hundreds of homes over the years. Somewhere along the way, I became less interested in just selling houses and more interested in what made them feel special—why some spaces felt elevated and others fell flat, even when they had all the “right” things.

There was even a season where I stepped away and opened a gluten-free bakery (because sometimes you just follow the creative pull wherever it leads). But I kept coming back to homes—to the transformation of them, and the stories they hold.

As my husband and I began renovating and designing our own properties, that interest turned into something much deeper. I started to see design not just as aesthetics, but as a way to create spaces that feel layered, intentional, and truly lived in.

Now, life looks a little fuller—raising twin toddlers, balancing projects between Indiana and Florida, and building a design business that reflects both beauty and real life.

House of Miller Designs is the natural evolution of all of it.
Not just a business, but a perspective shaped by years of experience, creativity, and a genuine love for creating homes that feel as good as they look.
